A Lovely Cornish Holiday Cottage
We cannot offer the Italian Riviera but we can offer a week in Vine Cottage, Cawsand, on the south Cornish coast.
Situated less than half an hour’s drive past the Tamar Bridge, Vine Cottage is a pretty and well appointed three bedroom cottage in the charming village of Cawsand, on the beautiful Rame Peninsula, which is part of the Heritage Coast and an AONB.
The cottage is 200m from a sheltered beach, with safe swimming, paddle boards and canoes for rent in season, a regular foot-ferry to and from Plymouth and an excellent restaurant. The South-West Coastal Path is easily accessible from the cottage, and there is plenty to see and do in the area, including the historic Mount Edgecumbe house and parkland, and a good surfing beach at Whitsand Bay is a short drive away.
Cawsand and adjacent Kingsand have several very good pubs with restaurants within a few minutes walk of the cottage, plus a village shop, bakery, two churches and other amenities.
Only Bids above £499 will be accepted. You can place a bid before the Event by contacting our secretary on firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 01483 268694. Final bids will be accepted during the Taste of Italy Evening.
Vine cottage has a large, modern kitchen-dining room, two sitting rooms (one with a TV and a log burner, the other with books, games and jigsaws), twin, 5’ double and bunk bedrooms, two shower rooms and a bathroom. It has central heating throughout and Wi-fi. There is a south facing walled garden with seating, conservatory, and decking with a sea view.
Vine Cottage is privately owned and not rented out, so this is a unique opportunity to explore this extremely beautiful ‘hidden corner of Cornwall’.
This is offered for up to 4 adults for a week (excluding school holidays) to be arranged with the owners. There is currently some time available in May, June and early July, as well as at other times in the year. Unfortunately no pets. Other cottages of similar size in the village rent for between £650 - £1950 pw depending on season.
